Abstract

Floquet topological insulators (FTIs) are systems that show topological properties on the application of a time-periodic drive. By now Floquet systems have been realized in cold atomic gases, photonic systems, as well as graphene and Dirac fermions irradiated by lasers. I will first introduce these systems highlighting their similarities and differences with conventional topological insulators.  I will then present our recent results on transport, photo-emission spectra, as well as entanglement properties of FTIs.
