Abstract

I will review the Large Array Survey Telescope (LAST), an imaging telescope array based on off-the-shelf components, its classification, and follow-up (unidentical) twin - the Multi-Aperture Spectroscopic Telescope (MAST) and it unique potential as an intensity interferometry facility.  I will discuss the Son of-XShooter spectrograph for the NTT and the Weizmann Institute Lowell Discovery Spectrograph (WILDS) for the Lowell Discovery Telescope and G-CLEF coupling to the Magellan telescope. We will review the design and merits of each system and focus on unique capabilities for specific science cases, such as the detection of SNe shock breakout, and the search for planetary systems, pollution, and RV measurements of White Dwarfs.
