Plentiful observational evidence is available; this talk shall focus on AGN jets resolved with VLBI in radio/mm, and consider connection to multi-wavelength (esp. gamma-ray) emission of blazars. Out of several long-standing theoretical problems, energy dissipation shall be highlighted, especially its high efficiency at large distances inferred. Results will be presented on in-depth analysis of high-resolution 3D GRMHD simulation of black hole jet partially disrupted by magnetic flux eruption (MAD state).
