Quantum Simulations with Quantum Computers on the Cloud
Envisioned in the 1980s, quantum computers have recently become a reality. Today several leading manufacturers offer cloud-based access to devices with tens of quantum bits (qubits) or more. The question that needs now to be answered is what they are useful for. I will address this question by briefly showing possible solutions and their respective challenges. I will then focus on quantum simulations, a promising domain for quantum advantage, and present two of our recent studies on the dynamics of the quantum Ising model. Lastly I will introduce QuantyMize, a startup dedicated to transforming quantum computing capabilities into real-world applications.
