Internal Guidelines for Research Proposal and Doctoral Dissertation – Supervisory Committee
Submission and Examination of the Research Proposal:
The student must submit the proposal as a PDF file to Rita, with a copy sent to the supervisor.
A supervisory committee of 4members is appointed: the supervisor, the committee chair, and 2 examiners (at least one external).
After the committee composition is approved, the department arranges the examination date.
If corrections are required, the student must complete the revisions and submit to Rita:
a. Revised research proposal in PDF format.
b. A correction table signed by the committee chair (the file will be provided to the student if necessary).Following the examination (and any required corrections), the research proposal is forwarded for final approval by the doctoral committee.
Midpoint Meeting
A second committee meeting takes place approximately three years after the start of the doctoral studies (under the supervisor’s responsibility) to review the progress status. This meeting includes:
A brief presentation by the student (approximately 10–15 minutes).
Committee discussion, including a short session without the supervisor.
After the meeting, a summary form signed by the committee members and the student is submitted to the Department Chair by the committee chair via the department office.

The department arranges the examination date with the supervisory committee (preferably the same committee as for the research proposal).
If corrections are required, the student must complete the revisions and submit to Rita:
a. Revised dissertation in PDF format.
b. A correction table signed by the committee chair (the file will be provided to the student if necessary).Following the examination (and any required corrections), the dissertation is forwarded for final approval by the doctoral committee.
