We are pleased to announce the first Single Molecule Biophysics Seminar in Israel.

The goal of the Seminar is to expose scientists and students to the latest developments in the field with an emphasis on the fundamental concepts and techniques. We also hope that the meeting will serve as a springboard to catalyze new collaborations, all in an informal yet vibrant atmosphere. The seminar is open to researchers, both faculty members and students from all the institutions in Israel.

The four day seminar will take place from 19-22 May 2013 in the scenic Neve Ilan Hotel, located in the Jerusalem Hills. Six leading scientists from abroad have confirmed their participation and will give keynote lectures, so as a dozen of Israeli researchers. The number of participants in the seminar will allow an active and continuous contact between both students and faculty.

We anticipate the participation of 60-80 scientists and students from all over the country. Funding for the seminar is kindly provided by the Batsheva de Rothschild fund, Bar Ilan University, The Technion and the Weizmann Institute. With current funding we anticipate a fee of 1600 NIS (1400 for students sharing a room) to offset the full-board stay in Neve Ilan.
