Talented and Motivated Students Needed for Dr. Iliya Esin's Research Group
The Non-equilibrium Quantum Matter Theory Group, led by Dr. Iliya Esin, invites applications from talented and motivated undergraduate and master’s students in Physics who are interested in pursuing graduate studies.
Our research group employs advanced quantum mechanics to explore unique non-equilibrium states that can emerge in quantum materials subjected to tailored external drives. These states can exhibit unconventional quantum statistics, topology, and thermodynamic properties, paving the way for new devices with applications in nanotechnology, electronics, and quantum computers.
We encourage applications from candidates with research interests in the following areas: Quantum Condensed Matter Theory, Topological and Exotic Phases of Matter, Non-equilibrium Quantum Many-body Physics, Graphene and Low-dimensional Materials, Light-matter Interactions, Plasmonics, Quantum Field Theory, and Quantum Information.
Qualifications include:
- BSc degree in Physics or a related field
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in English
- Coding experience is a plus
To apply, please submit your CV and transcripts from your most recently obtained degree to iliyaesin@gmail.com.
