M.Sc. and PhD in English for International Students

The Department of Physics is known for its leadership role in Solid State Physics, Quantum Optics, Nanoscience, and Statistical Physics, hosting leading researchers in each of these fields.

The Department of Physics is part of several interdisciplinary centers, such as the Nanotechnology Center, the Quantum Technology Center (QUEST) and the Data Science and Network Research Center.

The Physics Department offers a full program of studies conducted in English leading to the B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees.

Graduate studies involve coursework together with independent research carried out under the supervision of a faculty member from the department.

• Biophysics • Complex systems • Nano-Physics • Quantum Optics • Solid State Physics • Statistical Physics • Astrophysics  

The specific research topics are determined on an individual basis by the student's advisor.

The Master's degree study program includes conducting research and submitting a written thesis.

Duration of studies: 2 years for M.Sc. and 4 years for Ph.D.

Excellent International students are welcome to apply. All of the courses will be given in English.

All graduate studies applicants are required to find an advisor among the department's faculty members and to have their assent on the appropriate form before they are accepted for studies. Excellent students will receive a full scholarship.
