Ulltracold Fermi gases
In the past few years, ultracold Fermi gases have become a unique playground to test quantitatively the most popular models of condensed matter physics, from the Mott transition to the crossover between Bose-Einstein condensation and BCS theory of superconductivity.
In these lectures I will review some of these breakthroughs: starting from the study of the ideal Fermi gas, I will then describe the physics of strongly correlated gases and I will show how the physics of ultracold gases provides new insights on the celebrated Cooper pairing paradigm.

Abstract
In the past few years, ultracold Fermi gases have become a unique playground to test quantitatively the most popular models of condensed matter physics, from the Mott transition to the crossover between Bose-Einstein condensation and BCS theory of superconductivity.
In these lectures I will review some of these breakthroughs: starting from the study of the ideal Fermi gas, I will then describe the physics of strongly correlated gases and I will show how the physics of ultracold gases provides new insights on the celebrated Cooper pairing paradigm.
